Myanmar Military Airplane Skids Off Runway In Mizoram, Fuselage Splits

The tabletop runway at Lengpui, known for its difficult nature, made the airplane slide off the runway during its arrival.

A Myanmar military airplane slipped off the runway at Mizoram's Lengpui Air terminal today during a mission to transport Myanmar armed force staff who had looked for shelter in the northeastern state following extreme conflicts with rebel bunches in their country. Something like eight on board were harmed in the incident.

The tabletop runway at Lengpui, 2,500 meters long and situated at a level of 1,228 feet above ocean level, is known for its difficult nature. During handling, the Myanmarese airplane, a Shaanxi Y-8, slipped off the runway and its fuselage parted down the middle.

India on Monday sent home somewhere around 184 Myanmarese warriors. An authority explanation from the Assam Rifles affirmed that a sum of 276 Myanmarese warriors had entered Mizoram keep going week, and on Monday, 184 of them were sent back to Myanmar.

An Assam Rifles official said that the leftover 92 warriors will be localized today. The whole gathering is going by a colonel and involves 36 officials and 240 lower-rank work force.
