Over a hundred individuals were apprehended on Wednesday at Emerson College in Boston during a pro-Palestinian demonstration, as reported by the Boston Police Department. According to John Boyle from the Boston police, 108 arrests were made, with four officers sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. Nicholas Bogel-Burroughs, a New York Times journalist, shared footage of the protests on social media platform X, capturing arrested protesters chanting "we keep us safe!" from within a police vehicle, while bystanders echoed the chant.

Emerson Students for Justice in Palestine corroborated reports of over a hundred individuals being detained through their social media posts. Video footage from CNN affiliate WHDH depicted law enforcement officers in riot gear advancing towards protesters overnight, although the situation had calmed by the time of the affiliate's video.

In response to the encampment set up by protesters, Emerson College President Jay Bernhardt and other school officials issued a letter to students, emphasizing that the encampment violated city ordinances. The letter reiterated the college's support for the community's right to protest while emphasizing the importance of adhering to Boston and Massachusetts laws. The university expressed deep concern over the potential legal ramifications for protesters not complying with these laws, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the college community.
