Labeling it as 'a vendetta by time,' the SS(UBT) foresaw that the repercussions of Rahul Gandhi's speech across the nation signaled that more challenges awaited the ruling authorities in the near future.
Describing
it as 'a vendetta by time,' the SS(UBT) anticipated that the nationwide
repercussions of Rahul Gandhi's speech indicated that more obstacles lay ahead
for the ruling authorities. The editorial added that Gandhi's claim that the
BJP did not monopolize Hinduism caused a significant uproar in Parliament. For
the first time in a decade, Amit Shah sought 'protection' from Lok Sabha Speaker
Om Birla.
The
'Saamana' editorial highlighted that Gandhi's remarks about individuals
inciting riots under the guise of Hindutva and spreading communal hatred for
electoral gain, despite real Hinduism being calm, liberal, and
truth-supporting, angered Prime Minister Modi. Modi accused the Congress Leader
of the Opposition (LoP) of insulting Hindus.
In response,
Gandhi retorted, "Sir, you have not understood Hindutva at all. BJP does
not mean Hindutva," making Modi's expression noteworthy as no one had previously
dared to challenge them so boldly.
"Until
now, Modi and Shah have tried to dominate Parliament with their overwhelming
majority, but a strong opposition led by Rahul Gandhi has now emerged, curbing
their unchecked power. They have used Hindutva to win elections for a decade,
but now they have been confronted," stated 'Saamana.'
The
editorial noted that Gandhi's strong statement about the Speaker, who
previously suspended 150 MPs and passed important legislation in an empty
House, has shaken up the dormant Parliament.
"Rahul
Gandhi mocked Modi's divine claims and his supposed direct communication with
God. Modi became a subject of ridicule in Parliament because of his own words.
Consequently, Modi and Shah had to seek the Speaker's protection. Hopefully,
this message has reached the ED-CBI and others," said 'Saamana.'
"The
solitary Rahul Gandhi proved to be a formidable opponent against the BJP's
Modi, Shah, Rajnath Singh, Kiren Rijiju, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Bhupendra Yadav,
and others on the ruling side. Modi's false Hindutva did not succeed in the LS
elections, and on July 1, Gandhi triumphed again in Parliament," said
'Saamana.'
Referring to
Gandhi's revelations about Modi's initial plans to contest from the Faizabad LS
seat, which includes Ayodhya, but after three surveys warned him of the risks,
Modi switched to Varanasi and managed to win, becoming PM through
"manipulations." However, the editorial claimed his leadership is now
on the decline.
