While some reports suggest that the trainer was upset by a joke made by Yogesh Shinde, there is no confirmed reason for the unexpected attack.
A man in
Mumbai experienced a serious injury during his gym session when a trainer
struck him on the head with a club, known as a mudgar. The alarming event,
which occurred at a gym in Mulund, was recorded by the gym's CCTV cameras.
Following the incident, the police arrested the trainer after Yogesh Shinde,
the injured man, lodged a complaint. The police are continuing their
investigation.
According to
authorities, the incident happened on Wednesday. CCTV footage reveals Mr.
Shinde exercising with the assistance of one trainer while another trainer,
initially at a distance, suddenly picks up a mudgar, approaches Mr. Shinde, and
hits him on the head. As Mr. Shinde clutches his head in pain and sits down,
other trainers intervene to stop the attacker.
Mr. Shinde
informed the police that there had been no prior disagreement with the trainer,
although he noticed the trainer staring at him before the assault. Mr. Shinde
mentioned that he even asked the trainer if he was performing the exercises
incorrectly, but received no response before the sudden attack.
According to
The Free Press Journal, Mr. Shinde underwent an MRI scan after the incident,
revealing two fractures on the left side of his skull.
While some
sources suggest the trainer might have been offended by a joke made by Mr.
Shinde, the exact motive behind the attack remains unclear.
