In Khurda district of Odisha, a collision between an ambulance and a
private college bus on NH-16 near PN College Chhak resulted in injuries to four
individuals, including a patient.
Reports suggest that the accident occurred as the ambulance was on its
way from Tamil Nadu to Kolkata. Fire Service personnel employed a gas cutter to
extricate the injured from the wreckage of the ambulance, who were subsequently
hospitalized at the district headquarters hospital in Khurda.
Thankfully, the 30 students aboard the bus emerged unharmed. Authorities
are conducting an investigation into the incident, with the ambulance driver
citing brake failure as the cause.
