Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter has filed a petition to remove Pitt from her name

This follows reports that the ex-couple's 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne, had also removed "Pitt" from her name.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has petitioned to remove "Pitt" from her name. On her 18th birthday, May 27, she filed for the name change in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Her current name is Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. Shiloh is the third-eldest of the couple's six children.

Previously, the ex-couple's 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne, had also reportedly dropped "Pitt" from her name. According to People, in a poster for the new musical The Outsiders, she was listed as Vivienne Jolie, not Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. Additionally, last November, their eldest daughter, Zahara, identified herself as Zahara Marley Jolie when she was inducted into the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College.

These name changes occur amid ongoing reports of strained relationships between Brad Pitt and his children since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce and sole physical custody in 2016. The divorce was reportedly triggered by an incident on a private flight from France to Los Angeles in September 2016, which involved an altercation that also included the children. Brad Pitt has denied these allegations and was not charged by the FBI, which investigated the incident.

The former couple is also in a legal dispute over a French winery they once owned together. In 2022, Brad Pitt sued Angelina Jolie's company, Nouvel, for allegedly selling her share of the winery without his consent. In response, Jolie claimed in a court document that she attempted to sell the Miraval winery, but negotiations failed after Pitt coerced her into signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that "prohibited Jolie from speaking (other than in court) about Pitt's abuse."
