The traveler flying from Delhi to Bengaluru aboard an Air India flight discovered upon boarding that the seat they had paid an extra Rs 1,000 for was broken. Despite the airline seeking assistance from an engineer to rectify the issue, the problem persisted unresolved.
A traveler expressed frustration towards Air India on Saturday after
encountering a defective window seat during a Delhi-Bengaluru flight, despite
having paid an additional Rs 1,000 for it.
The incident occurred on Thursday, and the passenger shared their
discontent on X (previously Twitter), questioning why the airline couldn't
ensure intact seats for passengers during their journey. "On 4th Apr, I
spent an additional 1k for a defective window seat (22A) on Air India AI512
from DEL to BLR."
They called an engineer to repair it, but to no avail. Is this what I
paid for my flight fare? Can't I expect a proper seat after such an
expenditure?" the passenger lamented.
Air India responded to the tweet, expressing regret for the
disappointing experience and requesting booking details for further assistance.
This incident isn't the first time an Air India passenger has
encountered a broken seat upon boarding.
